We appreciate your interest in serving at our Center.

All activities and events organized by the Houston Center are done by dedicated devotees and we always welcome new volunteers.

Volunteer tasks range from taking a few minutes to a few hours, and you are welcome to serve as per your availability and convenience.

Below are some areas where there are opportunities to serve.

Service Areas

  • Housekeeping

    Cleaning of the chapel and other buildings to ensure an inviting atmosphere for meditation and other activities

  • Flowers

    Help arrange flowers for Sunday services and special events. Flower service offers opportunity for individualized devotion through choice of flowers/arrangements

  • Audio & Video

    Set-up audio & video equipment for special events

  • Harmonium

    Lead the chant during Sunday and commemorative services. You can also opt to become member of Kirtan group

  • Service Readings

    Deliver Service Readings on Sundays and lead meditations

  • Sunday School

    Teach or assist with teaching children ages 3-12

  • Ushering

    Help seating chapel attendees. Control lights, temperature & sound. Control door entry. Place/remove parking cones & signs

  • Grounds Maintenance

    Keep the grounds clean and presentable. See to the proper functioning of all equipment and the sprinkler system.

  • Treasury

    Help count offertory. Make deposits. Keep track of checks to SRF
